Prehistoric Collection
This department started its work in 1316, when the museum was inaugurated. This department’s treasury contains more than 10,000 artifacts, well representing developments of prehistoric Iranian cultures from the seventh to the first millennium B.C.; unearthed at sites and places like: Teppeh Sarab , Ali Kosh, Talle Bakun, Cheshmeh Ali, Isma’il Abad, Susa, Hassanlu, Marlik and several other places. A great number of relics preserved here were unearthed in archeological excavations. Alongside these collections there are other objects purchased from people or donated to the museum. One of the most important donations is the Forughi collection, which entered the Museum in 1359.

Before history's section
"Before history's section" of the Iran international museum, has already begun its activity in 1316 as the same time of its establishment. This section is keeping 10.000 objects. These collections are showing the culture transition of before history of Iran from 7000 B.C to 1000 B.C from the places such as: TAPPE SARAB- ALIKESH- TALBEKON – CHESHME ALI – ESMAIEL ABAD – SHOOSH- HASANLOO – MARLIK and other similar places.

Most of the objects of this section were found by the archaeology investigators. Besides these collections, there are some objects which are gifted or sold through different people. One of the most gifted collections is Forughi's collection which came to the museum in 1359. Some of the objects were found through the sudden discoveries or object's confinement in forbidden excavations such as Bazargan's border's collection.

The main responsibility of this section is making a good condition for: keeping the objects – research, studying and introducing the objects – publishing essays, books, magazines – making ID for the objects (consisting the objects explanation, making photos, knowing books) – giving the necessary information to the researchers, guiding the students in their research - making the exhibitions in and out of the country and accepting the trainees from different sectors.

This section has already been made several exhibitions till now such as: the Exhibition of Commerce and technical expert knowledge transition in 1379 - Exhibition of earthen statues and Gelin Sardis in 1382 - Exhibition of the stone's story in 1383 - Exhibition of the Halil Rood and Jiroft's border's culture in 1384. This section also was held in group fairs such as: the gold and silver fair – the exhibition of selecting from 10.000 years of the art and Iran's culture – spring's fair in international museum – exhibition of battles' tools.

Exhibition of Commerce and technical expert knowledge transition in ancient Iran. ( from nothing to everything ): was held in 1379
The goal of this exhibition is to show the growth and transition of commerce and initial industries in the societies before history in Iran. The objects of this section are related to the 5000 B.C to 1000 B.C from different places such as: SHOOSH – TAPPE HESAR – MARLIK – SILK – HASANLOO – TALJERI and so on. The catalogue of this exhibition contained 48 pages in English and Farsi with 80 photos, 9 sketch and 2 plans. In sketches, you can see the rebuilding of the before history lives and workshops in BURNED CITY (Sistan Baloochestan) and TELBAKOON ( Fars ). The plans show the plan of ancient places, mines and the business ways in Iran's METAL AGE.

Exhibition of the stone's story – Was held in 1383
This exhibition is showing the way of building and using the stoned objects in Iran from Paleolithic age (1 million years ago) to 1000 B.C. The exhibited objects are include all tools which manufactured from blade and splinter that related to stone, new stone and bronze era and also sandstone, sling, mallet, weight stone, seal and computation chip from 5000 to 1000 B.C. The relevant collections are mostly from Shoosh and others are from a places in LORESTAN, ILAM, AZERBAYJAN , MAZANDARAN & KHORASAN. The catalogue of this exhibition has 20 pages containing 5 pages of text and photos of 91 stoned objects.

Exhibition of the Halil Rood and Jiroft's border's culture ( a selection of reclaimed objects ) - Was held in 1384
In 1383, there were two consignments of the objects gained from the forbidden excavation in Jiroft, was arrested in England and returned to the country and delivered to the international museum. This exhibition is showing these objects: stoned dishes, plain or painted, statues and other objects. The catalogue of this section has 80 pages plus the colorful photos of the objects. The catalogue explains the discovery, Jiroft district, and the culture of the south-east of Iran in Metal Age. The catalogue has 2 sketches, 3 plans, 74 photos and a list of the 72 objects. This section was also active in making the related exhibitions in the provinces such as KERMAN – GOLESTAN & WEST AZERBAYJAN.
